Board Members
Killarney Circle Pool currently has 9 leadership positions that serve as the Board of Directors:
The Board typically meets twice a year (fall and spring), with an occasional extra meeting as necessary. Commitment to Community
A centerpiece of Killarney Circle Pool is the community of the membership. Members are neighbors, and the pool and related facilities make up a jointly owned property that we take pride in, and take care of, as a community.
An important KCP principle is to try to keep dues as low as possible by sharing the effort that it takes to manage and maintain the pool. This commitment to volunteer is a key aspect of membership and manifests in a couple of different ways:
Annual cleanup
Before the pool opens each May, the KCP undertakes a large cleanup effort which includes everything from power-washing to weeding to kitchen cleaning to moving furniture and more. Each member family is expected to contribute 4 adult hours of cleanup work each year.
Ongoing management/maintenance
Killarney Circle Pool is managed by an all-volunteer rotating board of pool members. Similarly, regular pool maintenance and upkeep is handled by member volunteers. All members will be expected to regularly contribute time to the management and/or maintenance of the pool. Members should expect to periodically serve with a tenure of 3 to 5 years.
